Mary Magdalene and other women came to anoint Jesus’ body, only to find the stone rolled away and angels declaring, “He is not here; He has risen, just as He said.” (Matthew 28:6)

Jesus appeared alive to Mary, the disciples, and eventually to over 500 people. This wasn’t a vision or metaphor—He had truly defeated death.

1. It Confirms Jesus is Who He Said He Was

Jesus claimed to be the Son of God, the Messiah. By rising from the dead, He proved His divine authority. No other religious leader in history has done what Jesus did.

“I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die.” – John 11:25

2. It Means Our Sins Are Forgiven

The resurrection validated Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross. His blood paid the price for our sins, and the empty tomb is the receipt.

“If Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins.” – 1 Corinthians 15:17

3. It Gives Us Hope for Eternal Life

Because Jesus rose, we too have the promise of eternal life with Him.

“He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.” – John 11:25

4. It Gives Us Power for Today

The same power that raised Jesus from the dead lives in us (Romans 8:11). We’re not alone in this life—God gives us strength to face trials and overcome sin.
